Christy Clark, from Lebanon, born into large family’s - one grandmother had fifteen children the other had seventeen, both were called “Mammy.” Both sides of her family are close-loving, hardworking devout Christians. Her memories are everlasting which shows when you walk into her restaurant where you’ll see that her walls DO TALK! A memoir and dedications covering walls as to where she came from are a testament to her heritage and who she is.

Christy’s success and arduous work has also paid off with state-wide recognition. In 2020, she was Nelson County’s “Woman of the Year”, Kentucky SBA Woman-Owned Business of the Year based on her small business journey, response to adversity and continued growth in sales and impact. She also received the prestigious Pace-Setter Award. Her restaurant and been named “Best Of” for the past 14 years in Nelson County and named Best Breakfast by the Kentucky Living Magazine with over 275,000 readers and the prestigious Restaurateur of the year in 2024 by the Kentucky Restaurant Association. Christy served as a Chamber Board Member and continues to be an active supporter of Bethany Haven (Christy’s Place), a non-profit which manages programs to help address homelessness in Nelson County: Christy’s life is remarkable and a true picture of her commitment to family, community, and business. Her entrepreneurial spirit is evident in the strength, persistence, and compassion she embodies every day. Mammy’s Kitchen serves thousands of people weekly, employs 50 plus people. Also, her beautique, Christy’s Collections and Mammy’s General Store. However, if you ask her, she will tell you her greatest achievements are her husband Fly, 5-children and 12-grandchildren.
